Patient-Centered Care Committee

The committee's area of work consists of building a relationship of trust and open communication with patients who present to our hospitals, showing the necessary attention and care to protect patients' cultural, psychosocial and spiritual values, and educating patients and their relatives.

The outcomes of the health care provided to patients can be improved when patients, their relatives and/or the persons who make decisions on behalf of patients are informed about care decisions and processes in a manner appropriate to their cultural expectations and are ensured to take part in them. For this reason, patients and their relatives must be involved in decisions about the patient's care. Patients are fully informed about what rights they have and what they can do in line with those rights. In this context, the committee carries out the following activities:

  • - Ensuring that patient rights are defined, protected and supported,
  • - Ensuring that patients are informed about their rights,
  • - Ensuring that the patient's family/relatives are included in care decisions to the extent appropriate,
  • - Ensuring that patient satisfaction and experience are integrated into the quality of care,
  • - Ensuring that informed consent is obtained,
  • - Ensuring that employees are trained on patient rights,
  • - Ensuring that patients and their relatives are informed about the hospital's organ and tissue donation oversight process.
