The committee's main area of work is ensuring the design and implementation of the employee health and safety program to be carried out in our hospitals. In this context, the committee carries out the following activities:
- - Ensuring that an employee health and safety program is created and implemented,
- - Ensuring that the processes necessary to reduce the risks of exposure to physical violence are defined and implemented (White Code: 1111),
- - Carrying out risk analyses to reduce risks of harm to employees and ensuring that the measures identified as a result of the analyses are put into practice,
- - Ensuring that the personal protective equipment needed in work areas is determined, supplied and used,
- - Ensuring that the risks of sharps injuries are reduced and that the process to be followed in case of exposure is designed and put into effect,
- - Ensuring that the scope of the health screenings to be done at the start of employment and afterward is determined and implemented,
- - Implementing a staff vaccination and immunization program by determining which employees are at highest risk of exposure to, and possible transmission of, vaccine-preventable diseases in the hospital.
