General Introduction;

The Hospitals Support Services Directorate, within the Health Services Unit Board Chairmanship, serves without interruption at the Adult Hospital, İhsan Doğramacı Children's Hospital and Oncology Hospital with its 10 units and 121 staff on a 24/7 basis, in line with our University's principle of “Further ahead, to the best" .

03Biomedical Unit

This is the unit responsible for the medical devices used across the Hospitals.

• Detecting and repairing faults in medical devices and, if they cannot be repaired, arranging for the purchase of related services,

• Planning and carrying out calibration measurements of the medical devices in the hospital inventory,

• Providing technical consultancy at the stage of deciding to purchase medical devices,

• Taking part as an expert member in medical device tender and acceptance inspection commissions,

• Preparing maintenance programs for medical devices that need periodic maintenance by external service,

• Following up faults and calibration of devices serviced in exchange for kits,

• Communicating with users of medical devices on technical matters and ensuring efficient use and service procurement.

04Technical Maintenance and Repair

• This is the unit responsible for meeting maintenance and repair needs coming from the units regarding automatic sliding doors, thermal cameras, barriers, turnstiles, emergency call systems, card access systems, fire alarm systems, the CCTV camera system and other technical matters across our hospitals.

05Medical Gases Unit

This is the unit responsible for the medical gases used across our Hospitals (oxygen, argon, acetylene, nitrous oxide, helium, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, dry air, liquid oxygen, pure nitrogen, etc.).

• Inspecting the existing medical gas systems (Adult Hospital, İ.D. Children's Hospital, Oncology Hospital, Beytepe Hospital, Stem Cell Laboratory, Cord Blood Bank, Department of Forensic Medicine, D block Laboratories) and responding immediately to any faults that may occur,

• Making and carrying out periodic maintenance plans for the system,

• Checking the medical gas system of departments undergoing renovation and newly opened departments, and ensuring acceptance of the project.

06Vehicle Operations Unit

• With 4 official vehicles and 9 rented vehicles, services are provided for executive offices, ambulance, patient transfer, service tasks, material transport and food transport.

07Religious Services Unit

Washing, in accordance with religious requirements, and arranging the release of the deceased who pass away while receiving treatment in our Hospitals or who are brought to the morgue from outside the hospital,

• Following up civil registry deregistration, forensic case follow-up procedures, burial permit documents and prosecutor's office procedures.

• Providing religious and spiritual support services at the request of patients in the palliative process and their relatives

08Tailoring Unit

· Sewing and repair services are carried out for items such as sheets, compresses, towels, covers and work uniforms to be used across the Hospitals.

09Main Warehouses

• This unit carries out the delivery of scrapped devices and materials in the main warehouses to the relevant institutions, the tracking of vehicles entering and leaving the main warehouses, the general order and security of the warehouse area, physical checks (electricity, water, repairs), and the use of forklifts and stacking machines inside the warehouse.

10Garden and Landscaping Unit

• This is the unit responsible for planning, implementing and inspecting the parks, gardens, plants and green areas of Hacettepe University Hospitals, and for carrying out the maintenance and repair of all green areas and plants.

11Barber Service

• Haircuts and shaves are provided for inpatients at Hacettepe University Hospitals.

12Laundry Unit

• Activities carried out include appropriately sorting, washing, drying, ironing and folding, and making ready for use, the sheets, duvet covers and blankets used at Hacettepe University Hospitals, as well as operating room textiles and scrubs.
