Improvement Teams Activities

Within the scope of improvement team activities at Hacettepe University Hospitals, it has been accepted that improvement teams can be established in two different structures. Accordingly, improvement teams are divided into “Quality Circles” and “Improvement Project Teams.” In our hospitals, within the scope of process improvement work, in addition to Improvement Project Teams made up of 8-10 expert people assigned by senior management, Quality Circles of 4-6 people who work in the same area, do similar work and join the activities voluntarily are active. With the guidance of facilitators and through a systematic approach that includes idea-generation techniques, improvement teams contribute to institutional development on many subjects, including patient and employee safety, efficiency, cost and process improvement.
