Hakkında

Prof. Dr. Eser Lay Ergün Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi’ni ve Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nin Nükleer Tıp Anabilim Dalı’nda uzmanlık eğitimini 1999’da tamamladı. 2005’te doçent, 2010'da profesör oldu.







1996’daAlmanya’daki Medizinische Hochschule Hannover Tıp Fakültesi Nükleer Tıp ve Biyofizik Bölümü’nde Nükleer Kardiyoloji, Nükleer Onkoloji, Pozitron Emisyon Tomografisi, Radyoiyot Tedavisi üzerine çalışmalar yaptı.







2001-2002’de bir yıl süresince ABD’de Michigan Çocuk Hastanesi, Wayne State Üniversitesi Detroit Tıp Merkezi’nde Pozitron Emisyonu Tomografisi (PET) konusunda çalıştı.







Yaptığı çalışmalar ile Hacettepe Üniversitesi 2001-2002 Akademik Yılı “Bilimde Teşvik Ödülü”; Prof. Dr. İsmet Karacan Bildiri Araştırma Ödülü (2001); TÜBİTAK ve Beyin Araştırmaları Derneği 2003 yılı Proje Destek Yarışması Ödülü; Türkiye Psikiyatri Derneği Bahar Sempozyumları 2003 Araştırma Projesi Teşvik Ödülü; Prof. Dr. Suphi Artunkal Ödülü (2004) aldı.







Epilepsi (sara hastalığı), kardiyoloji, onkoloji konularında nükleer tıp yöntemleriyle ve pozitron emisyonu tomografisi ile ilgilenmektedir.

2013-2016 yıllarında Nükleer Tıp Anabilim Dalı Başkanlığı yaptı.
