Şehnaz Özyavuz Alp

Samsun Anadolu Lisesi’ni ve Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde 1998-2000 yılları arasında Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştı. Uzmanlık eğitimine 2000-2005 yılları arasında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nde Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji alanında devam etti. Uzmanlık eğitimini tamamladıktan sonra 2 yıl süreyle Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda görev yaptı. İç Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları Ünitesi’ne 2007 yılında öğretim görevlisi olarak atandı. 2014 yılında yardımcı doçent, 2015 yılında doçent oldu.

2013-2014 yıllarında Türkiye Bilimsel ve Teknolojik Araştırma Kurumu (TÜBİTAK) burs desteğiyle Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde Johns Hopkins Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Transplantasyon Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları Fellowship Programı’nı tamamladı.

Halen, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda çalışmaya devam etmektedir.

Özellikle hematopoetik kök hücre nakli alıcılarında gelişen enfeksiyonlar konusuyla ilgilenmektedir.
