About

Dr. Uğur graduated from Turkish Education Association Ankara College High School in 1983 and Hacettepe University English Faculty of Medicine in 1988. He completed his speciality education at the Department of Nuclear Medicine of Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1995. He became associate professor in 1998 and professor in 2004.







He carried out some studies in 1992 and 2001 for 2 years in total at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA.







He was awarded Turkish Nuclear Medicine Society Prof. Dr. Suphi Artunkal Award in 1995, Hacettepe University Research Group Science Encouragement Award in 1994-1995 and 1995-1996, TÜBİTAK Science Encouragement Award in 2002 and TÜBA-GEBİP Award in 2003.







His professional interests are nuclear oncology and positron emission tomography (PET).
