Materials Management and Stock Control Unit

This is the unit responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient procurement, use, tracking and, where necessary, appropriate distribution of the materials used throughout the hospitals. Its duties can be listed as follows;

• To take part in annual procurement plans and play a role in determining the required quantities,

• To evaluate and plan the material requests that come from departments to the Procurement Directorate,

• To track the stock of materials in the warehouses across the hospitals,

• To ensure appropriate distribution between departments when a material falls to a critical level,

• For materials that fall below the critical level, to carry out correspondence to bring forward the order, grant an increase within legal limits, or start the procurement process.
