Our Quality Structure

Hacettepe University Hospitals is structured in line with the principles required by contemporary management approaches, prioritizing the “safety and satisfaction” of our patients and employees. The main goal of this structure is to make and implement the most correct decisions. Making the most correct decisions depends on being able to evaluate all the details of the subject. For this purpose, a structure has been organized that makes it easier for all employees to take part in the decision-making mechanism. This structure is provided by a committee system in which our employees from different areas of duty and different professional groups take part. The committees shown in the Quality Management Organization Chart address their responsibilities within their areas of duty within a “process approach,” beginning with determining the institutional principles necessary to comply with national and international quality and accreditation standards in our hospitals; each process is planned and structured with the contribution of experts in their fields. It is the responsibility of the relevant committees to plan the improvement activities needed to remedy problems encountered in processes and to share them with senior management (the Quality Council) so that they are implemented. In line with the principle of “leadership of management,” all our managers also serve on the committees. In this way, the active participation and support of our managers in committee activities is ensured. The areas of activity of our committees can be accessed from the “Our Quality Committees” tab. The “Transfusion Committee, Infection Control Committee and Radiation Safety Committee” operating in our hospitals carry out their activities independently of, but in cooperation with, the Quality Coordination Office, because they have their own specific legal regulations.
