  • - Ensuring that the frequency of initial physician and nurse assessments and of reassessments is determined and implemented as determined,
  • - Ensuring that patients' nutritional status, functional status and pain assessments are made by qualified persons and recorded in the patient file,
  • - Ensuring that customized initial assessment criteria are determined and implemented for special patient groups (children, terminal-stage patients, patients receiving chemotherapy, and those with emotional and psychological disorders),
  • - Ensuring that result turnaround times are defined for the laboratory, radiology and blood bank and that results are provided within the defined times,
  • - Ensuring that the safety risks to which laboratory and radiology staff may be exposed are identified, and that a safety program is created and implemented,
  • - Ensuring that laboratory and radiology medical devices and equipment are inspected, maintained, repaired and calibrated at regular intervals,
  • - Ensuring that the processes of collecting, transporting and receiving laboratory samples are planned, implemented and monitored,
  • - Ensuring that a quality control program is implemented to monitor the accuracy and precision of laboratory and radiology test methods,
  • - Ensuring that, when services are obtained from other laboratories, the process is planned and implemented in a way that does not disrupt the service or patient safety.
