Özgen Eser

1966 Ankara doğumlu olan Prof. Dr. Özgen Eser, 1984 yılında Ankara Atatürk Anadolu Lisesi, 1990 yılında Ankara Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesinden mezun olmuştur. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Mikrobiyoloji ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalında 1997 yılında “Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji Uzmanlığı” eğitimini tamamlamış ve 2004 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü altında “Mikrobiyoloji” alanında Bilim Doktoru derecesini almıştır. 1998 yılında Öğretim Görevlisi, 1999 yılında Yardımcı Doçent, 2005 yılında “Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları” alanında Doçentlik derecesini alarak aynı yıl Doçent, 2013 yılında Profesör kadrosuna atanmıştır. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Atlanta kentindeki Center for Disease Control (CDC) ve Emory Üniversitesinde “Moleküler Epidemiyoloji” alanında bir yıl çalışan Prof. Dr. Eser’in bakteriyoloji konusunda çok sayıda yerli ve yabancı yayını bulunmaktadır. 2011 yılından beri HÜ Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi MİK204 Temel Mikrobiyoloji ders sorumlusu, 2017 yılından beri HÜTF D1 Moleküler Mikrobiyoloji ders sorumlusu ve 2017 yılından beri HÜTF D3 Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları Ders Kurulu Başkanı olan Prof. Dr. Eser, 2021 yılında HÜ Hastaneleri Merkez Laboratuvarı Moleküler Mikrobiyoloji Laboratuvarı ikinci sorumlusu olarak atanmıştır. 2015 yılından bu yana SCIE kapsamında yer alan Mikrobiyoloji Bülteni Editörlüğünü de yürüten Prof. Dr. Eser, Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Asistan Eğitiminde Bakteriyoloji ve Moleküler Mikrobiyoloji rotasyon programlarında eğitim sorumlusu olarak yer almaktadır.
