Murat Gültekin

1977’de Sivas’ta doğdu. İlkokul, ortaokul ve lise eğitimlerini okul birincilikleri ile tamamladı. 1995 yılında üniversite sınavında derece yaparak Hacettepe Üniversitesi İngilizce Tıp Fakültesi’ni kazandı. 2001 yılında derece ile mezun oldu ve aynı yıl Tıpta Uzmanlık Sınavı’nda Türkiye’de ilk ona girerek Hacettepe Üniversitesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum Anabilim Dalı’nı kazandı. Asistanlık eğitimlerinde jinekolojik onkoloji alanında çalışmalar yürüttü. 2009 yılında Avrupa Birliği’nden akredite jinekolog onkolog belgesini aldı ve aynı yıl Kanser Daire Başkanlığında göreve başladı. 2010-2011 yıllarında T.B.M.M. Kanser Hastalığı Konusunun Araştırılarak Alınması Gereken Önlemlerin Belirlenmesi Amacıyla Kurulan Meclis Araştırma Komisyonu Uzmanı olarak görev yaptı. 2012 yılında doçent ünvanını aldı. 2014 yılında Avrupa Jinekolojik Onkoloji Topluluğu (ESGO)’nun yönetim kurulu başkan yardımcılığına seçildi. 2012-2017 yılları arasında Sağlık Bakanlığı Kanser Daire Başkanı olarak görev yaptı. Ulusal HPV DNA taraması, Meme Kanserinde Merkezi Okuma ve Mobil Kanser Tarama cihazları ile Toplum Temelli Palyatif Bakım Modellerini gerek ülkemizde gerekse de dünya genelinde ilk kez uygulayan ekip içerisinde yer aldı. Jinekolojik Onkoloji Alanında 100’in üzerinde uluslararası makale, 200’ün üzerinde uluslararası konuşma yapmıştır. Halen bu alanda dünyanın en önemli referans kitabının editörlüğünü yürütmektedir. DSÖ, AB, IARC, ANCCA, APOCP, CentEast GOG, ENGAGe, ENYGO, ENPIGo, MECC, ESGO, Karadeniz Ülkeleri Koalisyonu gibi Uluslararası kurum ve kuruluşlarda yönetim kurullarında görev yapmaktadır. 2018 yılında, Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Servikal Kanser Eradikasyon Programı Uluslararası Danışmanı olmuştur. Aynı yıl dünyada ilk kez HPV-Help Cep Programını geliştirmiştir. Son olarak Avrupa Birliği Parlementosu HPV ve Serviks Kanseri ile Mücadele Kolunda Parlementer Üyelerin Seçmiş olduğu 5 uzmandan birisidir.

Halen, Hacettepe Üniversitesi Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum ABD’ çalışmaya devam etmektedir. Evli ve iki çocuk sahibidir. İleri düzeyde istatistik, eğitim becerileri sertifikaları olup, iyi düzeyde İngilizce ve Almanca bilmektedir.
