TPN Preparation Unit

In the TPN (Total parenteral nutrition) preparation unit within Pharmacy of Hacettepe University Hospitals, solutions are prepared in order to give parenteral nutrition support to patients with malnutrition or with nutrition risk in circumstances where gastrointestinal tract cannot be used. The unit consists of a clean room where aseptic conditions are met and the air quality is controlled by means of HEPA filters, and 24-channel compounder. The unit provides Adult, İ.D. Children’s and Oncology Hospitals with 24/7 service.
