HACETTEPE UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS DIRECTORATES OF NURSING SERVICES
1972-2014
Institute of Child Health and Children’s Hospital were founded on 8th July 1958.
• Graduate School of Health Sciences and its affiliated Colleges (Nursing, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, etc.) were established in 1961.
• Adult Hospital was brought into completion in 1966.
• Hacettepe University was established in 1967.
• Oncology Hospital Daytime Treatment Unit was commissioned in 1993.
• Oncology Hospital was brought into completion in 2005.
Directorate of Nursing Services began operating simultaneously with the establishment of Hacettepe University Hospital in 1958 and continued delivering service as İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital Directorate of Nursing Services in 1978 and Oncology Hospital Directorate of Nursing Services in 2005.
The first title and role of “Nursing Services Director” was assigned to Nurse Filiz Kaplan at Hacettepe University Hospital in 1972.
As of April 2012, Specialist Nurse Gönül Yıldırım has been Adult Hospital Director of Nursing Services, Specialist Nurse Sevgül Özdemir has been Oncology Hospital Director of Nursing Services and Specialist Nurse Hatice Demir Küreci has been İhsan Doğramacı Children’s Hospital Director of Nursing Services.
Committees were established and activities were initiated in 2002 so as to conduct activities for (JCI) hospital quality standards criteria. As a result of the quality activities carried out at our hospital, after the accreditation of Hacettepe Adult Hospital by “Joint Commission International (JCI)” which is accepted as the leading institution in its area, the entirety of “Hacettepe University Hospitals” has been accredited as of 22th January 2011 following the JCI audit conducted at January. Furthermore, Hacettepe University Adult Hospital is the first accredited university hospital of our country. Accreditation activities are still continued actively.
