Therefore, required services of diagnosis and treatment are provided under the supervision and responsibility of academic staff and their assistants. All inpatients are subjected to a detailed pre-operative evaluation. Laboratory tests and radiological examinations addressed at cardiovascular, circulatory, respiratory, renal, liver and bleeding/coagulation systems in particular are performed on a routine basis. If deemed necessary, the departments related to these systems and/or any other previous systemic problem are consulted in order to resolve or minimize the potential problems which could occur in pre-operative or post-operative period. In the pre-operative period, the patient as well as patient relatives are informed on the type and potential progression of the disease, treatment options, expectations and all of the complications that could be encountered during or after the treatment. Verbal and written consent of each patient and patient family are sought in regard to the treatment method.

Patients who are recommended hospitalization do not need to bring any other belongings than pajamas and/or bed gown and personal hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, bath towel, etc.).
