Süleyman Nahit Şendur

Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdikten sonra aynı üniversitede İç Hastalıkları ihtisasını tamamladı. İç Hastalıkları eğitimine devam ederken İç Hastalıkları Başasistanı olarak seçildi. 2011 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi İç Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalınca “Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli Yılın En Başarılı Araştırma Görevlisi” ödülünü aldı. 2014 yılında tamamladığı “İç Hastalıkları Yoğun Bakım Ünitesinde Çalışan Birinci Yıl Araştırma Görevlilerinin Rotasyonları Sırasında İlk Çalışma Haftalarındaki Uyum Sürecinin Mortalite Üzerine Etkisi” başlıklı tezi “Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli Yılın En Başarılı Tezi” ödülünü almaya hak kazandı. 2015-2018 yılları arasında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Hastalıkları Bilim Dalı’nda yandal araştırma görevlisi olarak çalıştıktan sonra endokrinoloji uzmanı oldu. Devlet Hizmet Yükümlülüğü’nü Kars Harakani Devlet Hastanesi’nde yaptı. 2020 yılından bu yana Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Hastalıkları Bilim Dalı’nda doktor öğretim üyesi olarak çalışmaktadır.

Dr. Şendur 2016 yılında European Union of Medical Specialists Derneği ve Türkiye Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Derneği’nden burs almaya hak kazanarak İngiltere’ye gitti. İngiltere’nin Sheffield kentinde bulunan Sheffield Üniversitesi Endokrinoloji ve Moleküler Biyoloji Departmanı’nda leptin üzerine çalışmalar yürüttü.

Halihazırda Türkiye Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Derneği, Avrupa Endokrinoloji Derneği (European Society of Endocrinology), Amerika Endokrinoloji Derneği (Endocrine Society), Avrupa Nöroendokrin Derneği üyelikleri bulunmaktadır. Türkiye Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Derneği Genç Endokrinologlar Grubu’nda yönetim kurulu üyesi olarak görev yapmıştır.

Uluslararası ve ulusal dergilerde 20’nin üzerinde orijinal araştırması bulunan Dr. Şendur’un ilgi alanları arasında hipofiz bezi hastalıkları, adrenal bez (böbrek üstü bezi) hastalıkları ve paratiroid bezi hastalıkları bulunmaktadır.
