About

Antalya’da doğdu, Antalya Lisesi’ni bitirdi. Hacettepe Tıp Fakültesinden mezun oldu (1995). İç Hastalıkları ihtisasını Hacettepe’de tamamladı (2001). İç Hastalıkları başasistanlığı yaptı. Hacettepe Tıp Fakültesi Prof. Dr. Şeref Zileli yılın en başarılı asistanı (2000) ödülünü aldı. Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma üst ihtisasını, Hacettepe Tıp Fakültesinde tamamladı (2004). “Tiroid oftalmopati hayvan modelleri” projesiyle, Türkiye Endokrinoloji ve Metabolizma Derneği’nin yurt dışı genç araştırmacı bursunu kazanarak, İngiltere Kraliyet Koleji Londra Tıp Fakültesinde, “endokrin otoimmünite” üzerine araştırma asistanlığı yaptı (2006-2008). 2008’de doçent, 2014’te profesör oldu. Ankara Tabip Odası Yönetim Kurulu üyeliği yaptı (2010-2012). Halen Hacettepe Tıp Fakültesi Dönem VI Koordinatörü, Türk Diyabet Vakfı Yönetim Kurulu üyesi, Avrupa Diyabet Cemiyeti (EASD) Mezuniyet Sonrası Diyabet Eğitim Komitesi üyesi olarak görev yapmaktadır. Diyabet, metabolizma hastalıkları ve hipofiz hastalıkları özel akademik ilgi alanıdır.
