Erdal Sağ

1986’da Kütahya’da doğdu. İlk-orta ve lise eğitimini Kütahya’da tamamladı. 2004 yılında ÖSS Türkiye 2.’si olarak girdiği Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni 2010 yılında bölüm ikincisi olarak bitirdi. 2011-2015 yılları arasında aynı fakültenin Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı’nda uzmanlık eğitimini tamamladı. Bu dönemde EULAR-Avrupa Romatoloji Derneği Bilimsel Araştırma Desteği ile University College London’da misafir araştırmacı olarak çalıştı. 2016 Yandal Uzmanlık Sınavı Türkiye 1.si olarak Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Romatoloji Bilim Dalı’nda başladığı yandal eğitimini 2020 yılında tamamladı. 2018 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Pediatrik Otoinflamatuvar Hastalıklar Yüksek Lisans Programı’nı tamamladı.

“2018 FOREUM International Exchange Fellowship” bursu ile Danimarka Aarhus Üniversitesi’nde çocukluk çağı inflamatuvar artritleri konusunda araştırmalar yaptı. Yine aynı bursun devamı ile Hacettepe Üniversitesi Translasyonel Tıp Laboratuvarları, Çocuk Romatoloji Birimi’nin kurulmasına öncülük etti. 2021 yılında Doçent ünvanı aldı. 2021-2024 yılları arasında Ankara Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde Çocuk Romatoloji Bilim Dalı Klinik ve İdari Sorumlusu olarak görev yaptı.

Avrupa Çocuk Romatoloji Derneği (PReS) çatısı altında EMERGE Genç Romatologlar Birliği’ni kuran 8 kişilik ekipte yer alan Dr. Sağ, 2016-2021 yılları arasında EMERGE Eğitim Komitesi Başkanlığı görevini yürüttü. 2021 yılından bu yana EMERGE Başkanı olarak görev yapmaktadır. 2022-2024 yılları arasında Türkiye Genç Pediatrik Romatologlar grubunun kurucu başkanı olarak görev aldı. Bunun yanında PReS (Avrupa Çocuk Romatoloji Derneği) Yönetim Kurulu Üyeliği, EULAR PAED (Pediatrik Romatoloji Alt Komitesi) Yönetim Kurulu Üyeliği, The Global Musculoskeletal Health Task Force Yürütme Kurulu Üyeliği başta olmak üzere birçok ulusal ve uluslararası romatoloji derneği üyeliği bulunmaktadır.

Evlidir ve iki çocuğu vardır.
