About

Tıp Fakültesi eğitimini ve kardiyoloji ihtisasını Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinde yaptı. Hacettepe Üniversitesinde 2002 yılında doçent, 2010 yılında da profesör oldu. Eylül 2014 tarihinden itibaren Kardiyoloji Anabilim Dalı başkanlığı görevini yürütmektedir. 2001-2003 yılları arasında Türk Kardiyoloji Derneği Kalp yetersizliği çalışma grubunda sekreter olarak, 2003-2008 yılları arasında Ekokardiyografi Çalışma Grubu yönetiminde sekreter olarak çalışmış Mart 2008-mart 2010 tarihleri arasında Kardiyak Görüntüleme Çalışma Grubu başkanlığını yürütmüştür. Halen Türk Kardiyoloji Derneği yönetim kurulu çalışmaktadır. Ayrıca Kadın ve Kalp Sağlığı Proje Ekibinde görev almaktadır. Cleveland klinikte ekokardiyografi üzerinde çalışan Dr. Necla Özer koroner arter hastalığı, kalp yetmezliği gibi konularla ilgilenmekle beraber esas ilgi alanı ekokardiyografi ve kapak hastalıklarıdır. Tıp eğitimi dışında Anadolu Üniversitesi İktisat Fakültesi Uluslararası ilişkiler bölümünü bitiren Dr. Necla Özer halen Hacettepe Üniversitesinde Sağlık Kurumları Yöneticiliği alanında yüksek lisans yapmaktadır. Yurt içinde ve yurt dışında 200‘den fazla uluslararası bilimsel toplantıya davetli konuşmacı olarak katıldı ve konferanslar verdi. Çok sayıda ulusal ve uluslararası bilimsel toplantının düzenlemesinde ve bilim kurullarında görev aldı. 100’ü aşkın bilimsel yayını bulunan Dr. Necla Özer kardiyoloji alanında pek çok önde gelen bilimsel derginin yayın kurullarında görev aldı, editör yardımcılığı görevinde bulundu.
