About

Ankara Atatürk Lisesi ve Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’ni bitirdi. Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Tıbbi Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı’nda uzmanlığını 1998 yılında tamamladı. 1996 yılında ABD University of California, San Francisco’da Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları bölümünde tüberkülozda ilaç direnci konusunda çalıştı. 2013-2014 yıllarında ABD Johns Hopkins Üniversitesi Tüberküloz Araştırma Merkezinde tüberküloz ilaç direnç mekanizmalarının ve yeni ilaç hedeflerinin araştırıldığı projelerde çalıştı. 2016-2021 yılları arasında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Hastaneleri Merkez Laboratuvarı Sorumluluğu görevini yürüttü. Halen Merkez Laboratuvarı Moleküler Mikrobiyoloji Birim Sorumlusu olarak görev yapmaktadır.

Mikrobiyolojide moleküler yöntem uygulamaları ve tüberküloz mikrobiyolojisi temel ilgi ve araştırma alanlarıdır.
